ABOUT ME
My name is Karen Cossette and I have been on the Simple Abundance path since 1996. During that year, when on a trip to Costco, I stumbled onto the Simple Abundance Daybook of Comfort and Joy book and was hooked. It became a gift to every woman I know and love; my mother, daughters, mother in law, and best friends. I must tell you it has been such a wonderful experience and it has changed my life in so many wonderful ways.
As a result of Simple Abundance and Sarah Ban Breathnach, the author, through her writings I have learned how to live Simple Abundance. Before Simple Abundance I was the caretaker of "Wonder" in taking care of everyone and everything except myself. My father noted that even when I was a little girl there was always something or somebody that "needed me". It has taught me self nurturance, how to set boundaries, listen to my inner voice. I now keep the promises I make to myself, for example: this past March, I traveled, alone, to Paris FRANCE, Soriano ITALY and Stavanger NORWAY and it was everything I could have imagined. Oh yes, my "Pink Book" (as Oprah calls it) went with me!! Now that I am middle-aged, I finally feel like my authentic self and YOU can, too!
I live on a little 5 acre farm on the Washington/ Idaho border with my husband Jerry, dog Harley Clark and our kitty, Pearl, who we adopted from a shelter for abandoned and mistreated animals. We have 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren, whom I adore. I am an avid gardener and love to sing, too!
It is also my passion to travel to Hawaii and someday I want to live part-time in Maui (and I will). Hawaii is such a spiritual place.
I have done motivational speaking and workshops for over 20 years now. In November, I had the great honor and pleasure of being personally trained as a Certified Simple Abundance Close to Home Leader by Sarah Ban Breathnach. I cannot even begin to tell you what a thrill that was to be chosen by Sarah and Spirit to carry on her work.
